Vidyfy gives you two powerful tools to protect yourself and your content: Blocking and Reporting. While they both help improve your experience, they serve very different purposes.
🔒 What is Blocking?
Blocking is a personal action that allows you to avoid specific users on the platform.
- Prevents them from interacting with your channel (liking, commenting, subscribing)
- Hides their content from your feed, search, and notifications
- They are not notified that you've blocked them
✅ Use block when you no longer want to see a user's content or interact with them personally.
🚨 What is Reporting?
Reporting is a formal action that alerts the Vidyfy moderation team about content that violates our guidelines.
- Can be used on Vidyz, comments, or entire channels
- Triggers a manual review by our moderators
- May result in restriction, removal, or account action if the content breaks rules
- Your identity remains confidential
✅ Use report when content is harmful, abusive, illegal, or violates the Community Guidelines.
📊 Summary: Which One Should You Use?
Action | Use When | Who Sees It |
---|---|---|
Block | You don’t want to interact with a specific user | Only you |
Report | Content violates Vidyfy rules | Moderation Team |
📌 Can I Use Both?
Absolutely. If a user is breaking rules and you no longer want to engage with them, you can both block and report them for appropriate action.
