On Vidyfy, we want to keep the platform safe, inclusive, and enjoyable for everyone. To support that mission, some Vidyz may be restricted when they violate — or are suspected of violating — our Community Guidelines.
This article explains what a restricted Vidy is, why a restriction might occur, and what actions you can take next.
🔒 What Does "Restricted" Mean?
A restricted Vidy is temporarily or permanently removed from public view on Vidyfy. This includes:
- Hidden from home feed, category pages, search, and channel
- Cannot be viewed by the public
- Limited editing options for the owner
- Only visible to the Vidy owner and administrators
🚨 Why Was My Vidy Restricted?
Your Vidy may be restricted for one or more of the following reasons:
- Contains nudity, sexually explicit content, or violence
- Spreads misinformation or harmful content
- Violates copyright or intellectual property rights
- Includes hate speech, harassment, or bullying
- Shows illegal or dangerous behavior
- Triggered by user reports or automated review systems
🔎 How Are Restrictions Applied?
Vidy restrictions are determined through:
- Manual moderation by our team
- Automated filters that detect policy violations
- User reports that raise concerns about a Vidy
We aim to review flagged content fairly and promptly. Most restrictions are temporary unless the violation is severe or repeated.
📨 What Can You Do?
- Submit an appeal if you believe the restriction was a mistake
- Delete the Vidy voluntarily if you don’t wish to appeal
⚠️ Avoiding Future Restrictions
To prevent future restrictions:
- Review and follow the Community Guidelines
- Avoid uploading copyrighted or offensive material
- Respect others — no hate, harassment, or explicit content
📌 Final Note
Vidy restrictions help protect the platform. While they may be frustrating, they ensure that Vidyfy remains a safe and respectful space for all users and creators.
