The capybara isn’t your regular house rat — not at all!
This one weighs 70 kg, meaning you could almost ride it like a motorbike. 😆
It reaches up to 80 cm tall, and it can “communicate” with other animals through body signals —
Sit with crocodiles? They get along…
Hang out with eagles? They get along…
Even snakes? Still gets along.
A capybara even eats its own poop — all because of its unique digestion.
This guy has a stomach on Turbo mode. 😂
It’s a herbivore, feeding on grasses and fruits, and it lives socially in groups of 10–30 capybaras.
When one gives birth, the babies belong to the whole village — a true community project. 😅
If danger comes, it hides underwater and can stay there for 10 minutes without coming up.
A capybara’s pregnancy lasts 6 months, and it gives birth to 2–4 babies.
It lives about 12 years in the wild, and up to 16 years in captivity.
